And? Forbes busted De la hoya faced while mayorga couldn't. <<<So is that means forbes hits just as hard as mayorga?

I didn't say he hits as hard as Johnson - just that he hit hard enough to hurt Jones.

Don't be so argumentative, jackson.

Fuking hell have you people not learned a thing...  first it was Calzaghe ain't got the gut's to face Lacy,  then Kessler,  then it's he ain't never fought in America,  then it was he is ducking Hopkins,  then it was he won't fight Jones so he fights Jones so it went to he is ducking Pavlik...  now it's Dawson.
I hope he retires cos he will never get respect off some people....  " sure hope Calzaghe got the guts ".
The fuking guy has has had 46 fights and just travelled to the other side of the planet and took on two of the best fighters the world as seen in the last 20 years whilst you were having a tug in your bed watching Eastenders....  and you have the nerve to  question the guy's guts.
Fuking unreal.

i think you're overreacting. i don't really think there are people here not giving joe cal credit. i just think that we honestly want him to lose. call some of us haters or whatever, but thats just the way it goes. i think joe is a GREAT fighter. nothing against him at all. but hes beat all the good american fighters we've thrown at him. well now there is still dawson who is another legit challenge to joe. he is young, fast, and strong. i honestly want one of our american fighters to beat him finally, just for bragging rights. he is our last hope, how could you not expect us to hope joe cal fights him? if he doesn't....personally i wouldn't criticize joe for it. but you're a fool if you think we aren't gonna ask for it.

Bars, clubs, house parties, weddings. I can get ass from the widower at the funeral, it doesn't matter.

definition of widower - a man who has lost his wife by death and has not remarried.

i guess i need to watch dawson again cause i dont remember him being as fast as calzaghe.

Dawson throws REAL punches in combination . Joe Slaps A LOT of his punches and when they would show Slow Mo punches landing you can see how he throws his left hand . You cant even call it a straight left . Its like a crooked left lol . Personally I think Chad Dawsons overall handspeed isnt faster then Joes as in Calz can Flurry better and Shoeshine . But Dawson throws QUICK SHARP POWERFUL combinations that will def do some work on JOE . I say its a good fight but just let Joe Retire .

QUOTE(Spike @ Nov 9 2008, 06:56 PM)
i think ive finally figured out boxing fans, or at least those in the pound, they are never satisfied, that goes for max kellerman also, damn not more than 15 seconds after last nights dec was announced he was already making a case as to why calzaghe should fight chad,  anyway what i think ive found out about fans is they cant stand to see a fighter undefeated, they will not be happy until joe gets beat, thats why we dont even celebrate a guys win for one fukn day, before we are already trying to choose who out there can be the one guy to defeat them, i mean first of all joe hasnt even said if he will fight again so how about we give him a minute? on the other hand though i was a little suprised when he was asked what was next last night and he didnt give a definitive answer, all he has been saying recently is that he would retire if he won, then he wins and hes not sure, thats why i can never take what a fighter says about retiring seriously, i mean did he promise his mom, can i start dissing him about it like everyone does with hopkins
*

Its not that we are never satisfied, we have to settle on match ups...I think if you would have asked most fans here at the pound, who would you rather have seen Joe fight, Dawson or Roy....Most people would have chose Dawson....Well this after the fact...so lets go with fights in the future for better examples...Who would you rather see Margarito fight in January, Williams or Mosley...I think most would choose Williams, but we have to settle for Mosley. De La Hoya-Pac....I think most would rather see Pac fight Campbell, Diaz, or Marquez, but again we as fans don't have a say in it.

he slaps pretty hard though dont he?

Yeah, he's a good slapper. One slap isn't good enough though. He needs a slappy happy furry 2 hurt fighters , and Dawson is waaay 2 fast 2 let slappy get in a slappy furry.
