Though I feel Fedor is greatest HW of all time and the true HW champ, I would not make Rogers #1.  I would give it to Lesner at that point and put Rogers at #2.  It's just how I would rank it.

BTW if Rogers did beat Fedor, I would not be surprised if he jumped to the UFC.  I don't know what his current contract is with Strikeforce, but he looks like the type that would take the money and run, unlike Fedor.

Dana said if Brett beats Fedor he'll invite Brett to UFC.

Its a tough call and it depends on how he wins. But if he wins by KO I would probably put Rodgers at number one as well. KOing top heavyweights who are still comparatively young should put him on the top of the heap especially when one of those guys is the legendary Fedor. But with that being said even being called the number 1 guy doesn't make him the best in the division. He'd be number 1 based upon accomplishment. I think Brock Lesnar would dominant Rodgers.

I guess you missed the memo that a lot of people think JMM beat Pac once, if not twice.  Personally, I find ranking systems to be arbitrary and pointless- especially p4p lists.  I'm just saying, a lot of people would have put JMM at #1, rightly or wrongly.

I didn't miss anything, I believe Marquez DID beat Pacquiao twice. My opinion doesn't influence the rankings though. I still think people would've had Pacquiao at #1 regardless if JMM beat Floyd.

But I do hope Fedor destroys Rogers.

Why don't you trust your own brain then? If you think JMM beat Pac, then YOU should have JMM ahead of Pac in your rankings. The purpose of the thread was to get people's opinions on where they would rank Rogers if he won. That means that official rankings made by writers are irrelevant. Where would YOU rank Rogers if he won? Don't worry about where Sherdog has him ranked or what Uncle Fester thinks or what SI thinks or what towing-the-line-UFC-fighters think.

Like I said, I'm not big on rankings. I don't have anybody at #1 right now. You can't deny that a good portion of boxing fans already had JMM ranked ahead of Pac, though, before the Floyd fight.

Dana said recently:

"He's [Fedor] fighting a dangerous guy," White recently noted. "I don't think he's [Fedor] that good, I think he's overrated and I think he might get knocked out."

So, he thinks Fedor may get knocked out by Rogers. If/when Fedor wins, what will he say? I'm sure he'll say that Rogers was never a threat and that Rogers is a bum. Makes one wonder why Dana was making such a push to sign Fedor if he's just a bad, overrated fighter.
