RICKY HATTON has refused to rule out a return to the ring after renewing his boxing licence.
Manchester’s former two-weight world champion has to yet to confirm if he will hang up his gloves or box on following his second-round knockout by Filipino Manny Pacquiao 14 months ago. Hatton, 31, has since been busy promoting but has taken steps to ensure he can continue his ring career if he decides to. He said: “I haven’t announced my retirement. Floyd Mayweather Jnr was retired for nearly two years not long ago and he made a successful comeback. “It is only 14 months for me. I have renewed my boxing licence again with the British Boxing Board of Control in case I decide to box on. “I have an open mind really, but promoting is keeping me busy. “I enjoy seeing all my lads win titles, none more so than my brother Matthew.” Hatton, whose only defeats in a 12-year career were against superstars Pacquiao and Mayweather Jnr, has previously said he would like to end his career with “an absolute war of a fight”. He overcame Australian Kostya Tszyu in June 2005 and after his KO by the Pacman, said: “The manner in which I ended my fight to Manny is not really the way I would like to bow out. “I’d like to bow out like Tszyu did in an absolute war of a fight, a wonderful fight with great sportsmanship.” British fight fans would drool over the prospect of a showdown with Bolton’s WBA world light-welterweight champ Amir Khan. But Khan has told Hatton he should call time on his career. “He has had a great career and has only been beaten by the best two fighters in the world,” he said. “He will always be known as a great fighter and he’s made enough money. Ricky should relax and chill out.” -------------------- ![]()

If he does fight again were all going to know his heart is not really init
I heard he owes GBP another fight on his contract, plus his deal with Sky for his promotions is running out - he maybe having to give them another fight(s) in order to secure a new deal.

If Hatton fights again then he will get hurt, imo.
Please stay retired. PBF was retired for 2 years, but he is not and never will be a fat drunkard in between fights. -------------------- True Hatton was/is human garbage, a talentless, little English piece of genettic rif raf. But Calzaghe is a good fighter with a terrible resume who has never really been hyped on a scale as
Hatton. DG.[SIZE=7]
