Boxing Shoes For Wide Feet

KabroN's Photo KabroN 07 Aug 2011

One more thing,

I asked a boxer/friend about wrestling shoes, and he said that they have more grip on the mat which prevents a boxer to effectively pivot.

On another hand, boxing shoes sometimes doesn't have more mat grip for pivotting.

Any thoughts?

Dang, I'm still torn between getting a wrestling shoes or a boxing shoes.

break them in...

if u are wearing them day to day in the gym....you'll find that it will get easier to pivot as time goes on. when they're brand new...it's a little more difficult.

I have wide feet and my Adidas Tygun boots were always comfortable, just lace 3/4th.

Did you have to order by 1/2 size larger? I own a Lonsdale and it's about 1/2 more than my size.

I ordered the regs and they were tight (especially on my right foot which is wider from drumming) for the first week or 2 but then, they fit like gloves. There is a pair of Puma shoes (they are all black, low top, thin soled, and have the puma logo on the toe of each shoe) that I have used in both Dojos and in the Gym and the tread is just as thin as a boxing boot, no ankle support, but you get the mobility, and the tread strip is thin so if you have wide feet, they will fit like a glove. I've been allowed to use them in the gym and I loved them. May want to check first though. If I can locate a pic, I'll post it, and they run $75 US
