Tonight's round by round live coverage of Floyd Mayweather vs. Miguel Cotto is being conducted by Johnny Benz. Please refresh this page every four minutes for latest round by round updates.
Round 1: Both fighter in the middle of ring. Floyd starts firing the jab. Cotto working a hook early. Cotto going for the head. Floyd moving well and avoiding shots.

Round 2: Cotto trying to use his power to muscle Floyd around the ring. Floyd is using great defense and hits back strong when the oppurtunity arises. Cotto gets Floyd on the ropes, but lands not much and Floyd works out of it. Cotto gets Floyd back on the ropes and lands a few good body shots, but Floyd comes back stronger. Floyd working the body and using uppercuts in close quaters. Cotto is working it hard but not landing cleanly. Floyd lands clean punches.

Round 3: Cotto missing just by a little,,, that's how quick Floyd is. Cotto is throwing bombs, but Floyd deflects. Cotto can't land his over hand rights.

Round 4: Floyd is blocking and chopping Cotto down. Floyd has found his rythem and Cotto is ahving a hard time. Cotto is trying hard and looking good trying, but not being effective. Cotto gets Floyd on the ropes but a big uppercut from Floyd pushes him back. Cotto is pushing action, and Floyd is just eating it up so well.

Round 5: Floyd is amazing on the inside, and also when not in close quarters. Cotto is working it hard to try landing power shots, but Floyd is just on his game. Even with his back on the ropes and Cotto throwing hell fire, Floyd is mixing it up and doing superbly well. Cotto is working hard, but Floyd is on fire.

Round 6: Cotto has a decent first minute, but nothing to rite home about. Some fighting in the center of the ring. Cotto has his head low when coming in... makes for a good spot for Floyd to land his piston jab. Cotto is bouncing around and working like a devil, but to not much avail. Floyd could do more in this round. Its a closer round than any of the others. That was a closer round.

Round 7: Moving around and jabing with precision is working so well for Mayweather. Cotto works the body in the clinch and Floyd uses solid combinations to get him off. Floyd moves his head out of the reach of anything significant Cotto throws.

Round 8: Upper cut lands from mayweather, Cotto working hard on Floyd on the ropes, but he is taking as good as he can give. Cotto hammers Floyd to the Body on the ropes, but using his shoulders and elbows, Floyd avoids so much. The pace is crazy. Cotto is working like a workhorse on crack! Floyd's defense is amazing and his uppercuts land with some serious heat on Cotto. Cotto lands a nice punch on Mayweather's head and snaps it back. Floyd gets off the rope and fires some action back. That was a decent round for Cotto.

Round 9: Back and forth slugging, but Mayweather is smooth and slick. Over the top right hand lands hard on Cotto. Cotto lands some decnet body shots from time to time, but nothing that is wearing or slowing Mayweather down. Some great exchanges near the final moments of the round. That was a tougher round to score.

Round 10: A little bit of blood from Cotto`s eye regions, but nothing serious. |Cotto is still full of life / energy. He is bobbing, he is weaving, he is doign a lot of things so damn great.... but Mayweather is just always a puch and a step ahead. Cotto wants it bad and is throwing hell at Mayweather, but Floyd avoids then fires back. Its some great science that makes the game that much sweeter. Cotto hits Floyd's body in clinches and Floyd gets out and lands head shots. over hand right lands hard on Cotto in the last minute of the round. Cotto fires back a one two and a one tow to the sides of Mayweather's body. These guys are not standing still or fighting on reserve mode.

Round 11: Tough fight for Cotto. Mayweather is just dominating the action, but someone forgot to tell Cotto that because he is fighting like a bull stung in the ass. A lot of the same stuff and same results.

Round 12: Floyd landing well abnd missing some power shots just by a little. Cotto is working hard and firing as much as he can. Cotto nor Mayweather look tired. Cotto will need a knock out to win, but I doubt that is possible. Cotto walking around following Floyd. Floyld lands a nice upper cutt and slightly staggers Cotto. The fight ends, both fighters on their feet.

Looks like the judges saw the same fight I saw.... two judges scored it 117-111 and 118-110 for a Unanimous Victory for Floyd Mayweather!!!!
