Here's Anderson explaining (in English, bitches) why Chael's fucking up: http://blogs.telegra...t-chael-sonnen/

Who has he ducked? If I were him and I beat a giant pain in the ass and then found out he had cheated I wouldn't want to reward him with another title shot either. Anderson has fought at MW and LW in the UFC and beaten everybody. It's only recently that people want to act like he hasn't cleaned out the division.

I didn't write the article.  Nor can I cite an example (prior to this one) where he didn't want to fight someone.  He doesn't want to fight Jon Jones, but that's fair.  I don't fault him for that just as I don't fault GSP for wanting to avoid Spider.

I do however find it unusual that he wants so badly to knock out Sonnen's teeth, but he also doesn't want to fight him.  If the 1st encounter was a fluke, or he cheated, or the rib was injured, or whatever, why avoid fighting a guy you want to beat up?

Just seems kinda strange.

Think on it this way.  Is there an Anderson Silva fan on the planet that DOESN'T want to see this rematch?  If so, please explain.  Perhaps then I could see a legit reason for Spider not wanting to fight Sonnen.

I don't put much stock in the teeth knocking out b.s. For all we know that was said because he has to fight this douchebag again. Not because he hates him. (The obvious reason is just to straight up hype the fight and to pump himself up. Old champs need reasons to get chips on their shoulders.)

The only reason I can come up with for why AS (and fans ) don't want this fight is because Sonnen's a dick. Why give him the payday? Sort of like Cotto being done with AM. Why give a cheater another chance? A disrespectful cheater at that.

It's a credit to the UFC promotional machine that the storyline is about a guy who was winning for 20 minutes and lost so he should be competitive again. Not: Sonnen choked. Not: A champ found a way to win on an off night. Not: Sonnen had everything go his way and couldn't win. Not: If this style of fight happened with Sonnen vs. anyone else it's actually fucking BORING, therefore Silva is the reason this fight is interesting.

If Sonnen gets KTFO'd we then go back to AS is the baddest man on the planet. If Chael manages to win for 5 rounds and get the decision (it would be huge if he submitted AS...), we then get a trilogy. Either way: UFC FTW.

He has done very, very little at LHW,  I'm still not convinced that Forrest Griffin did not take a dive in their fight.  That sh*t was absolutely deplorable.  Nobody can deny Anderson's greatness, but he's been in the weakest division in the UFC for a while now (save for maybe HW).  His wins over Hendo, Franklin,  Sonnen, and perhaps Vitor were real quality. His wins over Maia, Cote, Leites didn't mean much of anything.  His win over Nate was respectable at the time.  HIs win over Okami was respectable, even though it looked to me like Okami took a dive.  He went down without even taking a solid punch.   BTW, who said Anderson hasn't cleaned out MW?  I haven't heard anyone say that.  I have heard people say that he should move up to face some real challenges at LHW.  Other than Chael, there's zilch for him at MW right now.  Maybe Belcher is a contender, maybe Lombard could be a contender but does anything think they're top challenges?

If Sonnen wins it will mean Sonnen is still one of the biggest P.E.D. users in the sport. Sonnen was granted a T.U.E.  Nevada allows a 6:1 t/e ratio, and Sonnen's exemption allows him to also have synthetic testosterone in his system.  Which means the field won't be level.  I fully expect Anderson to beat the shit out of him anyway.

If I was Silva, I would pump my testosterone level right up to 6:1 to make the beating more ruthless.
Why even make these comments?  Are you under the assumption that Anderson usually fights without juicing?

Seriously. The fact that Sonnen's somehow legally allowed to juice for his fights is completely ridiculous.
Hey that's what I've wondered.  Back in the day, a guy with poor stamina was just that.......a dude who might be talented but just doesn't have the stamina to compete with the best.  Now they diagnose these inferior athletes with a disorder and give them medical clearance to treat this "disorder".  I can't wait til their becomes a medical disorder defined by being weaker than other world class athletes.  That way, it'll be medically permissable to bulk up and be as strong as naturally gifted athletes.   This whole damn thing is a joke....

Looking at Anderson's physique, he like Hopkins doesn't have the stereotypical body of a juicer.

Come on man......if you're seriously stuck in the stone age (the 80s) line of thinking about PEDs, then you really need to educate yourself.  PED use does not equate to a ripped physique.

Long list of guys who've been caught that don't look like Overeem.

Like I said, varying degrees.

See:  James Toney

I don't complain much unless I see a LH entering the cage at the heavy limit looking like a comic book character.

How much would you bet that Hopkins has never touched a banned substance?
