I could see being dehydrated AFTER to fight, but BEFORE? After re-hydrating 10-15 pounds? I can't buy that.
Chavez jr rehydrated 23lbs to 183lbs for Andy Lee - Cruiserweight size.

I think Chavez comes from behind to score the ko/tko. Maybe, MAYBE then, Antonious will give Jr some credit.
He'll be about 20lbs heavier than SM.  He better win that fight with that kind of huge weight advantage.

That we know of. I'm not one of these guys who dislikes Chavez because of his alleged easy road. For a guy who had zero amateur career, I think he's developed into a darn good fighter. Better than I anticipated, for sure. That said, one of his main strengths is his ability to boil off the weight and then rehydrate to a point where he's much bigger and stronger than his opponents. I think diuretics are a part of that. And, I think the Texas commission facilitates the use of said substances, or at least turns their head.

dude, quote your source. I'm not going looking for evidence to refute the statement HBO made on air.  HBO sure as hell didn't offer a retraction I've seen.  I agreed in my first post, the HBO is not infallible  You're correct, Chavez has been popped for Furosemide once.  And hasn't fought in vegas since.
I agree, he puts asses in seats in Texas. the same goes for Mexico too. You say cotto had a higher weight gain percentage, I'm not aware of it.  Further, You say the MMA guys gain more.  But are they taking the same tests? MMA is a different sport man.
Regardless, none of these justifications make Chavez's weight gain just, fair play, or disprove cheating.  Chavez HAS BEEN POPPED, and if were gonna keep the bar even, once caught, forever suspect.  Chavez is capable of cheating.  It's been proven.  Once that happens you're stuck with this shit.
On the flipside of your equation, the IBF belt is void if you weigh +10lbs the day of the fight.  So some parties out there aren't too keen on all this weight gain shit.

My problem, at the fundamental level is that the guys losing to JCCjr recently aren't saying that he was superbly skilled, with sublime defense and a vicious body attack, they're saying he's too fucking big, and they couldn't hurt him, or get him off them, and as a result faded late for a stoppage loss.
This whole weak rules in texas doesn't help his argument either.  If I was serg, I'd be asking for a same day weigh-in limit.
Agree, but jr won't take the fight if that were the case.  If they weighed about the same, SM wins this fight easy and probably by ko.  jr is going to need every bit of that 20lb plus weight advantage to possibly win the fight.

Source? From what I remember they didn't weigh in Saturday night. And IMO Jr didn't look much bigger than Lee at all. I bet the weight difference was less than 10 lbs, much less.

Come he's full of excuses. He said that Chavez took the test before, then he said there was suspicion with that....fine I could live with that. But then this joker starts talking about the size of the ring, a soft canvas etc. He doesnt sound gracious, he sounds like he mad. He talks about how his punches had no effect on Chavez Jr, when has Chavez Jr ever been hurt in a fight? Even as a 17 yr old kid when he first started? Chavez Sr. had a legendary chin, it's not that far fetched for Jr. to have inherited it.

I can't cite the source - the article is on a competing website.  Google Emanuel Steward Julio Cesar Chavez jr 183.

You don't have to name the site. Where did the site get 183lb weight from? HBO? Texas commission? Steward?
