Sitting ringside is about the worst seat in the house, in my opinion. You're several feet below the action, and your view of the fight is often obscured by the fighter's positioning in the ring, the ref and production people moving around the ring in televised fights.

That's the same reason I feel having the judges positioned ringside is an antiquated system that needs to be revised. Their view is slightly better than some of the press, but not a whole lot. The fighter's positioning and the ref still impede accurate scoring.
