I mean Forrest could triangle him.

Forrest did it once already.

While I don't think Forrest to be a serious fighter anymore, I do like his chances in this one given the odds.

The level of nutt hugging we get in here on behalf of Jones exceeds that of Silva. Same type of stuff you heard from GSP fans before he got KTFO by Serra.

I want to see Jones on top for years before I place him above Silva.

One of us brings up Anderson Silva in every Jon Jones  thread.  Is it you or me?

Me.. I don't think the two have anything to do with one another.  They'll not fight each other.  If they did, it isn't a fair fight.  Jones is too big and too young.

The fact that Anderson Silva nuts lose their sh!t whenever Jones is brought up.. that's just weird.

He would have taken the fight either way. Jones fans resemble PBF fans day by day. When it was announced Jones declined the fight, Jones's fans ran rampant claiminng Sonnen did nothing to deserve a shot. Well, I'm here to clarify for you guys as to why he didn't take the fight.

Sonnen is a dangerous opponent to take on, let alone on short notice. If you don't agree with me, Jones does. Go figure.

I think he just plan ol' doesn't like Sonnen and probably believes Sonnen is an unworthy and undeserving challenger to the light heavyweight crown.

Can't say I disagree with him.

Jones already stated why he didn't take the fight, and it wasn't what you're thinking. This isn't a matter of speculation.

I bring up Anderson Silva in the midst of pound for pound discussions, just as I did in this thread.

I think that echos my card. I just didn't see it as a great fight. Johnson shut Benavidez down, in my opinion. I was surprised. Good fight, both guys highly skilled. Just too much freaky reflexes from Johnson.

What's that saying about old age and treachery? I think this is the period most period interesting period fight to be made in MMA right now. Unfortunately, the risk/reward for both guys doesn't add up. With an L, Anderson's legacy and mystique takes a hit. For JBJ, the whole 205 lb weight class takes a hit.

Fight doesn't make sense for either man, or the UFC IMO.  There would be no huge winner regardless of the outcome.  By that I mean, neither man's marketability would skyrocket.  It isn't the blockbuster it would have to be in order to have such a fight.  GSP/Silva would make much more sense, and that fight too has similar drawbacks.

Jon Jones sporting an Evan Tanner type beard now. Not sure if he is trying to do something to embrace his villain persona or all that negative publicity traumatized him.

Maybe he's defending his chin from Vitor's power punch.
