Interesting. Broner - Burns in Feb. could be a good one. Curious: does anybody think Burns is better than Demarco or Vazquez?

Another attribute he possesses is his engine. Because he was so big and fought at 125 for so many years he had to really drain himself and therefore never had much power. That meant he always had to win by attrition, skill and therefore points. Subsequently he built up a huge stamina and learned to fight over 12. Now that hes moved up to 135 it suits his 5' 10" frame and hes carrying respectable power now to go with that engine.
Demarco and Broner have all had size or KO power advantages over their opponents. They will not have that over Burns. If they want to win it will be by skill alone and over the distance with him attacking to the last bell.
I re-watched Broner get that disgraceful decision against Ponce De Leon today and I think if he fought like that against Burns he'd lose. The guy has only ever looked good/flashy when he has a massive size and power advantage over his opponents. He even had the size over PDL but crapped himself for the first 4 rounds when he tasted his power. The rest of the fight he just ran.
Vasquez is a different story. I can't say I've seen enough of him to make a comment. He was knocked down by Prescott and just managed a SD. Mitchell (the guy Burns just KO'd) destroyed Prescott, taking almost every round. But that could have just been a bad night for Vasquez. The guy isn't a puncher but hes tall and ranked No1.
IMO all four, DeMarco, Vasquez, Burns and Broner need to fight each other because none of them really have a solid resume at 135 to state categorically that they are No1. (possibly Demarco does)

I think he could beat DeMarco and Broner. Close fights especially Broner, but Burns does everything solidly. Great defence and a concrete chin. Anyone who has reached the high echelons of boxing using KO power is in for a shock against him because of that chin and a solid defence. Gomez, Arthur, Johanneson, Martinez, Mitchell, Moses and Katsidis were all one punch KO capable boxers and couldn't get rid of him.

At the very least, the winner of Broner - Demarco should fight Burns. Sounds like Warren would allow it, which is probably the biggest obstacle. How Broner deals with the height and chin of Demarco and Burns will be very interesting. I doubt he'll dominate either. If he does, though, he may be the real deal. We'll see.
