That's laughable. I've been to Memphis and Houston many of times and they are more like my city than NYC.

downtown memphis and downtown houston could be any big city in the US. same as the heart of brooklyn. fuckin queens even looks like memphis.
if anything your city is not a representation of the US. too many retirees and too many immigrants.

What's laughable is you calling Houston an American city rather than a sh!thole.
I have spent lots of time in Houston throughout my life. I had family there for many years. Houston is a terrible place.As for people in New york not liking a typical American life, WTF are you talking about. Go to San fran, Seattle, San Diego, Chicago, DC, etc. People sure do live just like folks in New York. Plus the population of the cities I named is much greater than that of backward places like Memphis. Most American live in or near a metapolis. Rural areas with a minority of the countries population do not better represent the average American life.

There are immigrants everywhere. Downtown Memphis and Houston don't look anything like NYC. You see a few housing projects and now you are saying it's like NYC. The hardworking people in NYC live in the garbage apartments that the housing project people in Houston and Memphis live in. The rich don't live in a bunch of Manhattan condos either. In Memphis they live in giant, southern style homes and in Houston they live in multimillion dollar homes on the water.

Those were his examples and I do agree they are more like my city than NYC. American is a lot bigger than those few cities you mention and doesn't resemble that of those cities. Plus none of those cities are wall to wall people like NYC.
