Michael Sprott To Fight Robert Helenius

Livefight can reveal that Michael Sprott has put pen to paper to fight former European heavyweight champion Robert Helenius on March 23 at the GETEC Arena in Magdeburg, Germany.
The ten round non-title contest will appear on the undercard of the WBO super middleweight title rematch between current champion Arthur Abraham and former holder Robert Stieglitz, which will be screened live on Boxnation in the UK.
Sprott, 38, is on something of a high after ending Edmund Gerber’s unbeaten record via a majority points decision victory in their rematch last December. Their first bout ended controversially after Sprott was angry at referee Gerhard Siql's decision to stop the contest in the fourth round which led him to push the official to the canvas.
Sprott’s agent, Frank Joseph told Livefight: “We signed the contract a couple of days ago and Michael knows this is really it for him. Michael is going into this fight knowing it's do or die. He's gonna lay it all on Helenius to get that win."
Helenius, nicknamed ‘The Nordic Nightmare’ will be looking to put himself back into world title contention this year after only fighting once in 2012 with an unconvincing win over Sherman Williams. The 29 year old Finn had spent a large portion of last year recovering from shoulder surgery after a somewhat controversial win over Dereck Chisora at the end of 2011

i would say this is a risky fight for helenius as sprott can make fighters look bad, but at 38 this should be a pretty routine win for the nordic nobody

Sprott looked very convincing against the latest German HW hope, Gerber (22w 14ko 1 loss) Sprott being the one to hand him that first loss.
It was a fitting revenge considering that it was in his previous fight against Gerber that the ref jumped in way too soon causing an angry Sprott to push him and get a 6 month ban.
If Sprott is firing on all cylinders and can cope with Helanius' huge height (he managed Fraudleys no problem), it could be a very difficult night for the useless big Fin.

I remember watching sprott against boystov or Ustinov and even though he lost he was giving a good account of himself
