Carl Froch still has big fights in him, says trainer Rob McCracken

CARL Froch still has a few big fights left in him, says Rob McCracken.
The Cobra is already undisputedly in the top-ten pound-for-pound fighters in the world.

But his trainer, McCracken, believes there is even more to come from Nottingham's 35-year-old, three-time super middleweight world champion as he prepares to face Mikkel Kessler at London's O2 Arena on Saturday night.

"His career has been fantastic," McCracken told the Post. "He's right up there in the top-ten pound for pound fighters in the world and he's done Nottingham and Britain proud.

"His journey has been incredible and he's reached the very top – and there's a bit left in him yet. He's a genuine fighting man and he's very proud to represent Nottingham and that's what he will be doing in London.

"I know the whole of Nottingham and the whole of the UK will be behind him and hopefully he will be victorious.

"He's fully prepared and you have to be confident with a Carl Froch who is fully prepared and looking forward to a bout."

IBF champion Froch admits he is still haunted by losing to Kessler in Denmark three years ago....
