  • He guarenteed himself $32million dollars from his last bout with Maidana
By Grant Miles for MailOnline

Floyd Mayweather told regulators on Wednesday that the 'reality' TV show promoting Marcos Maidana fight was almost completely made up.

You’d be forgiven for thinking that the boxer had lost touch with reality days later too.
The 37-year-old posted an instagram picture of himself lying in bed, listening to music alongside a million dollars' worth of cash.

I heard only the bills showing on the ends of the stacks of cash are real.  The rest is just bundled paper.  Just a rumor... but you know    :)

Why would anyone carry cash around like that?  Oh right, because you're a douchebag!

Honestly, I kind of wonder why he is going out of his way to act this way.  It's almost as if he is insecure of people not talking about him. He'd rather be talked about in a bad light, then no light at all.  The thing is... I think he could be way more popular and liked if he'd act REAL.  Fans get turned off by this sort of stuff, and it does make him look like a "douchebag".  If I wanted to see this kind of crud, I'd be a Lady-Gaga fan.

It's like when ever you see a guy driving a Ferrari... the first thing that pops into your mind is "Douchebag".

Why sell yourself this way?

You know what though... a lot of boxing fans struggle from day to day to make ends meet.  We work hard as fuck to be able to splurge on things like highly over priced PPVs.  Flaunting cash to your real fans base (not the high rollers at casinos... but Joe-6 pack)... that hurts your image more than anything.  No one likes the Rich... and a big part of that is because of their worthless egos.

Nothing wrong with being successful, but there is something to be said about humility and modesty.

That's all I am sayin.

And I love watching Floyd fight... can't say I enjoy how he chooses to be seen outside the ring though.  I think he could do a whole lot better by dropping the Gangsta Rap style of life.

Just giving only my honest opinions.

I think my biggest issue is how Floyd (and Pacquiao for that matter) scare off advertisers. It was much easier to carry Doghouse Boxing when Oscar De La Hoya was the big name.  I had to turn down advertisers in those days.

I know wrestling is scripted and fake but I used to watch it years back. BTW some wrestlers do get hurt, mostly when they land on their back. What Floyd is doing nowadays isn't anything new. There was a wrestler who sported the name,The Million Dollar Man, Ted Dibiase.

To me it's tasteless, what Floyd is doing. I guess it appeals to some in the industry, otherwise he wouldn't be doing it.

I've been in the media biz for a long time. We always knew if we had content relating to Oscar De La Hoya we could increase sales/views/viewers considerably by splashing Oscar somewhere out front. That's not the case with Floyd or Pacquiao

Funny, because that is the douchebag I think of when Mayweather worships his "Money" routine.
