Joshua paying the price for his success

ESPN

Eddie Hearn has claimed he will have to start paying 'danger money' in order to attract opponents for undefeated Anthony Joshua. Joshua made it nine wins from nine professional fights after crushing Denis Bakhtov to claim the WBC international heavyweight title at London's O2 Arena on Saturday.

The heavyweight, who has stopped all of his professional opponents within three rounds, is booked to face Michael Sprott on the undercard of the Tony Bellew-Nathan Cleverly rematch at Liverpool's Echo Arena next month.

Hearn said: "Anthony is due to fight Michael Sprott next month and it wouldn't surprise me if Sprott called after watching that and asked for more money. We are paying a premium to get opponents anyway because they all know what is in store."

Just hot air from Hearn.

Michael Sprott isn't in any real position to ask for bigger purses, and everybody knows it.
