Goossen Promotions carries on

After promoter Dan Goossen died at age 64 on Sept. 29, just a few weeks after being diagnosed with liver cancer, there were many questions about what would happen to his company, Goossen Promotions.

Tom Brown, Goossen’s brother-in-law, close friend and the company matchmaker, said after Dan’s death that the family business would carry on even though it would be impossible to replace their beloved leader.

“It's full steam ahead," Brown said less than a week after Goossen’s death. "I'm working on closing a few things between now and the end of the year. It's not going to be the same without Dan, but he wouldn't want us to just quit. No way. He gave me an opportunity when some people said, ‘Are you crazy?’ So we are going to move forward. He would expect nothing else.”......
