Marco Antonio Periban says experience will be a key factor against James DeGale

Marco Antonio Periban has warned James DeGale his experience at operating at a higher level will prove key when the pair clash at the sold-out Echo Arena in Liverpool on November 22, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

The super middleweights clash on Merseyside with DeGale looking to impress as he hunts for a world title shot at the start of 2015, but the Mexican plans to derail the Olympic gold medallist’s plans.

"Sakio Bika was a more difficult challenge than anyone DeGale has ever faced."

Periban was edged out via majority decision by Sakio Bika for the vacant WBC title in June 2013 and had unbeaten J’Leon Love in plenty of trouble in the fifth round of their clash in May.

Degale should beat Periban handily - question is will he maintain the momentum he built up in his demolition of Gonzales or go back to his old ways of letting his opponent off the hook, running out of ideas and fiddling through a fight.
