Topping Las Vegas bill is a dream come true for Amir Khan

AMIR Khan says topping the bill in Las Vegas this month is a dream come true.
The Bolton superstar takes on Devon Alexander on December 13 as the headline act at the MGM Grand in America's fight capital.

And the 27-year-old is vowing to make it a night to remember with a win against his American opponent likely to take him a step nearer to realising another dream – to take on Floyd Mayweather Jnr.

It is not the first time Khan has fought in Las Vegas – his most recent fight in May seeing him beat Luis Collazo with a unanimous points verdict on the undercard of Mayweather v Marcos Maidana.

This will be Khan's fifth Vegas date in four years – his debut coming in December 2010 when he beat Maidana.

Khan said: "To top the bill at a venue like the MGM Grand is amazing.

"It is arguably the most well-known arena in the world for boxing.
"It is an honour to go and fight as the main event there and a dream come true for me.
"It will make me work even harder to go in there and succeed."
