That shit looks brutal. I guess thats why even after looking physically spent going into the 3rd round with Liddell he was still able to push on and last to a decision.

I would probably quit in the middle of training like that. laugh.gif horse.gif

i've been wondering if he got the adrenaline dump from the big fight and his first fight back in the ufc etc. i don't know how else you can gas when doing that that kind of training.

i actually want to try that kind of training, but i'm a masochist in the gym ninja.gif

hope he's training on avoiding the spinning backfist though, aside from getting hurt by chuck and hendo from it, fujita just missed taking his head off with one too sad.gif

i saw a video of adam achuleta doing some plyometrics when he was at arizona state (i think that's where he went) but the video's down now, that's some good shit too..

The type of plyometrics that Archuletta does are freaking amazing.

That stuff is really big in HS here, which is where he first picked it up.

I was doing plyometrics 15 years ago, but not quite as extreme as that.

Also, how did that CE2 work for you? I'm not being facetious either. My only experience with that company's products was their NO2, but their other stuff looked interesting

i think it's been great, but if i'm being fair i made some other changes around the time i started using it. i started working my core a lot more around the time i started using it, had back spasms for the 3rd time in 4 months so i wanted to strengthen my core as much as i could, i think that helps everything. i started taking melentoma (sp? i've had 75+ hours of paperwork this week and don't feel like googling) and started sleeping around 8 hours a night. before that i'd only sleep around 5 hours, which helped me betting on west coast teams but not good for my body. i also started lifting at night, and doing interval work on my eliptical machine or exercise bike in the morning instead of trying to get it all in first thing in the morning. i think it's been very good, but i could easily make a case that it's the other changes that've helped more..

No sh*t. mellow.gif A pessimistic way of looking at it is that Wanderlei just did something that Alexander was able to do to Jardine....but, still, that was a statement for sure. I think the book is out on Jardine, I really do. Attack him, quick and hard. Chuck's laid back, counterpunching style didn't work. Of course, you can't get caught by him, either, like Forrest did. Jardine has good, strong leg kicks and is a decent fighter, but he doesn't cover that big chin too well. laugh.gif

Wanderlei is already a fan favourite among UFC fans. He may not be at Chuck's level but he's not that far behind IMO. He could lose his next fight and still be marketable in the UFC. He knows that, too.

Wandy didn't even get to test out his cardio. laugh.gif

just like in Wandy's two straight losses the issue is not the result of the fights. Hendo and Liddell are elite fighters, no shame in losing to them.

the reason this win is big is that physically Wandy looked like he caught second wind, recovered from the last two Pride fights he had. The result isnt as important as the fact that he had his explosiveness back
