Could be. Does anybody have a tape to download, of this kid? I want to see his best performance. Some people say he is as good as Scott Harrison and Michael Brodie. Others say he may win a British, Commonwealth or European title one day. That sounds promising, because even a regional title is hard to get nowadays.

I would imagine it depends on how long the main event lasts. The undercard is not great, so if Woods/Gonzalez ends early, a few of the undercard fights should be shown. I think the main event will go the distance though, so Steel City's fight probably won't be shown. Short highlights is probably the best bet.

Leeds doesn't have any steel or iron works. Both towns are in Yorkshire, which is to the north of England. Cardiff is the capital of Wales, which is to the west of Great Britain and is mainly populated by sheep. You could find all this information on Google Earth, or by searching the internet for maps. Not many of them will tell you that Wales has more sheep than people, hence the frequent occurences of beastiality perpetuated by the sheep shearing people.

Did anyone happen to see Steven Birch's pro debut? He got beaten over four rounds by Nick Okoth, which is a massive shock for an ex-Commonwealth games medallist.

It happens all the time because the Commonwealth games ain't all that. The World Championship finalists like Hatton are much more solid. Even European level boxing is of a much higher calibre because the Commonwealth only covers a few boxing nations. Gold medallist Haider Ali (Pakistan) was billed by Warren as a bigger talent than Prince Naseem but he has been beaten twice in his first 5 bouts by novices like himself. It also has to be noted that the transition from amateur to professional goes better for some and not for others. The styles of some top amateurs isn't made for the pro's. This isn't a big shock in the boxing world because it has even happened to Olympic medallists.

i saw his first pro fight at the octagon but i couldnt make it last night. hes got a BIT of natural talent, a bit of power, thats it. Try's to be something he isnt, has no balance and a very leaky defence. Heard he got caught a few times last night buy Nesbitt, and looked bad. the good thing about him is that he has his own style, hands down, chin up in the air, always changing stance, and does summersaults, the first time a fighter from sheffield has ever done those things, Fantastic.

just stating what people told me, you look ok first round and a half b4 you shot your load they said but you balance was bad, thay also said you were throwing power shots at his gloves. they told me Nesbit hardly threw any punches but when he did he landed more that 50% and that he knocked your head back and put you off balance. they said Nesbitt was very slow and that if it was Khan he would have give you a boxing lesson.they also said your defence was terrible

No ex-amateur star getting beaten in the pros is a surprise at any level as amateur boxing is in a very bad state. The best amateurs coming through were never neccessarily the ones winning amateur titles, especially at a low level like the commonwealth games which is staged at the same time as the europeans which is miles tougher competition. The best fighters coming through are the ones working with pro coaches and boxing through other gyms.

dear mr. steelcity,
howcome yr name is italicized and underlined on the users using thingy down
below, and howcome that I am right guy knows whos logged in and out in four
minutes, and if you could have the sponsor of your choice,
what kind of sponsor would it be? endorsement? do you like photoshoot work
better or studio lights? did anyone ever do a decent portfolio on yr boxing
i dont really need to know these things just asking is all
mr. I am right, if u r so always right, what does that make the ones who
disagree?? why dont u just write up a decent account of that fight and then we
can all readup on it, and check it against the other sportswriters opinions.
does a boxer's trainer have that much to do then, with the style the boxer uses
on any given night? how much of the fight night effort we see is the result of
specific training, and how much to the parameters of the opponent and the fight?
